The Rochester Salvation Army will benefit from the 3rd annual Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble that was held at Soldiers Field park.   A large number of young and old braved the frigid weather to raise money for the needy in the Rochester area.

The event was organized by Rochester Moms on the Run in 2012 to support Salvation Army programs that assist families and individuals in Olmsted County. Last year’s Gobble Wobble included more than 900 participants who raised over $14,000.  That was more than twice the amount raised the first year.

At the time of the event,  Salvation Army workers and a few dozen volunteers were busy getting ready for the annual Thanksgiving Day dinner that serves anyone in need of a meal or companionship - or both.
