
Rural Minnesota Crash Claims Life of Snowmobiler
Willmar, MN (KROC-AM News)- Another snowmobiler has lost their life as the result of a crash on a Minnesota trail.

The latest fatality occurred in central Minnesota. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a snowmobile crash shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday in Lake Andrew Township, which is about 14 miles north of Willmar.
Responding deputies found the 67-year-old rider lying on the ground next to their snowmobile. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal crash victim’s identity has not yet been released. The deadly crash remains under investigation.
The DNR had reported seven fatal snowmobile crashes this winter prior to Wednesday’s crash in Kandiyohi County. Officials urge snowmobilers to ride sober, stay on groomed trails, to not ride alone and to follow statewide speed limits.
