
Man Arrested for Assault During Game at Rochester Soccer Field
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police arrested a Rochester man accused of assaulting a fellow player during a game at a Rochester soccer field.

Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to the report of a fight at the field around 8:00 Sunday evening.
The group playing soccer had called 911, the police report says.

Rochester Police: Man Assaulted Soccer Player After Not Getting the Ball
The alleged altercation was reported at the Watson Soccer Fields at 1100 Essex Parkway Northwest. Grayson says a group playing soccer was joined by a man identified as 19-year-old Zakaria Mohamed.
The other players reported Mohamed became upset after not being passed the ball and reacted by punching one of the other players in the face, police say.
Grayson says the victim of the alleged assault, described as a 30-year-old Rochester man, suffered a broken tooth. Police then arrested Mohamed.
Mohamed could face a count of third-degree assault and other charges, Grayson said.
