State Trooper Injured in Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol says icy conditions contributed to a multi-vehicle crash Friday evening that injured a State Trooper.Officials say 40 year old Trooper Jared Sturgill of Golden Valley was stopped along I-94 in Minneapolis to assist a motorist who had gone off the freeway when an SUV slid out of control and collided with a car, which sent the SUV sliding into the trooper’s cruiser. He was transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
