The Loop in Downtown Rochester Has Served Their Final Customer
Another restaurant in Rochester has closed suddenly and will not be reopening.
The Loop in downtown Rochester shared the unfortunate news that Monday night was their last night that they would be open.
Sad news to report... With a heavy heart yesterday was our last day of business. This restaurant is very special to Rocket Restaurant Group. This was our first location in Rochester. After opening two successful locations in Mpls it was our dream and mission to open a Loop brand in Rochester to give our community a fun and special place to go. At the time we pushed the limit with city inspectors about operating garage doors in a restaurant which was the first of its kind in Rochester. We knew we wanted something fun and different for the people of Rochester and we ended up winning that small battle. This is one small example of the cool things we wanted to do to give back to the city that helped raise us. Downtown was a vibrant place 8 years ago with lots of promising things going on. Today with the aftermath of a COVID shutdown and major construction downtown we just couldn’t continue the bleeding. At some point maybe we will venture downtown Rochester again but at this point we need to focus on Five West Kitchen + Bar and SMOAK BBQ. We want to say “Thank You” from the bottom of our hearts to all the friends, family, and customers who made Loop Rochester such a special place. Our staff is amazing and we appreciate each and every one of you. If you can please post your favorite Loop photo on this thread for all to enjoy. - The Loop Rochester Facebook Page
Thank you to the entire staff at The Loop for the amazing food and service the past few years and for being a location that many locals and visitors enjoyed.
