According to Monica Showalter of the American Thinker, Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and 10 other House Democrats wrote to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo demanding information about how the FBI shares its terrorist watch list with foreign governments.

Showalter suggested Omar is supporting the agenda of the alleged pro-terrorist group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that legally challenged the FBI watch list, the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB). The columnist contends Omar is trying to “protect terrorists” from “tyrannical regimes,” an ironical and hypocritical juxtaposition, indeed.

Omar has come under fire from Jewish organizations that challenged her comparison of the treatment of migrants at the TX-MX border with the “concentration camps” of the World War II Holocaust. Showalter wrote that Omar, the then Somali-American Minnesota state representative, asked for “compassion” and a “restorative approach to justice” for nine “Minnesota Men” from her district who were prosecuted for “opting to join ISIS.”

Then there is ANTIFA, the so-called violent “Anti-Fascist,” in fact Fascists, who wear masks and bring weapons to demonstrations where they threaten and beat up pro-Trump and conservative bystanders.

All too often these events occur in liberal bastions on university campuses and liberal-Democrat run cities. Astonishingly enough, some of the mayors in these cities order their police to “stand down,” and not protect conservatives and Trump supporters, and not arrest the attackers.

Most recently, Antifa thugs in Portland, Oregon, attacked and caused the hospitalization of conservative journalist Andy Ngo who writes for National Review, Spectator and other periodicals. Some “Progressive” journalists have accused President Trump and his criticisms of the left-wing press of endangering reporters. Some of those reporters are silent about Antifa attacking conservative journalists.

Conservative columnist and pundit Michelle Malkin has set up a fund to pay for Ngo’s hospital bills and, according to Powerline, replace his damaged camera equipment.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, according to the Washington Examiner, has called for legal action by the Department of Justice against the perpetrators of the violence, and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler for allegedly ordering his city police department to “stand down” during the incident.

Powerline’s John Hinderaker covered the Portland Antifa violence in his June 30 column, and claimed Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has openly supported Antifa, “whose principle tactics include aggravated assault, arson and malicious destruction of property.”

It remains to be seen whether these Antifa thugs will be held accountable, or political violence from the Left will continue unabated until the 2020 election.
