Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - Byron High School officials and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue trying to learn the identity of the person or persons who left threatening messages in two bathrooms Monday.

The first message that related to a bomb threat was found in a girls restroom around 5:00 PM. Deputies and school officials searched the building and the second message was found in another girls restroom.

A Rochester police dog trained to detect explosive devices was brought in to assist in the search. The sheriff’s office and school officials eventually determined it was not a credible threat.

The school canceled all Monday evening activities after the first threat was discovered.
