Winona Bar Destroyed by Fire

WINONA, Minn. (AP) — Fire has destroyed a business in downtown Winona and left some renters without a home.

Firefighters from several agencies battled the blaze at the Mason Jar Bar Friday morning. The bar and several apartments above it are described as a total loss, but the flames were prevented from spreading to the adjacent buildings. Reports indicate the fire likely started on the upper floor of the structure and was reported around 12:30 a.m. The cause is under investigation.
