
Minnesota School Bus Driver Arrested for DUI at Dismissal Time
Cottage Grove, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities arrested a school bus driver suspected of driving under the influence.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Cottage Grove Public Safety Department.
Police responded to the report of a bus driver suspected of being under the influence shortly after 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

School administrative staff had taken the bus’s keys by the time law enforcement got to the scene, the news release says.
Cottage Grove, MN School Bus Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI During School Dismissal Time
The School Resource Officer assigned to Park High School in Cottage Grove immediately responded to the scene and began an investigation, the news release says.
Additional officers arrived and determined there was probable cause to arrest the bus driver, authorities say.
He was brought to the Cottage Grove Police Department where investigators obtained a search warrant to collect a sample of the driver’s blood for testing.
The bus driver was then booked into the Washington County Jail on suspicion of third-degree DUI and child endangerment.
Police are describing the bus driver as a 36-year-old man. His name has not been released.
The news release says the driver was arrested before the bus left the school with children on board.
