Update: Charges List Harrowing Details of Historic Rochester Child Sex Cyber Case 

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department today reported an arrest in connection with what has been described as the department's largest ever cyber investigation into coercion, exploitation, and production of child pornography.

Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says the investigation by the Rochester Police Technology Forensic Unit began last November and identified more than 150 victims. A news release says the victims were located in multiple states and countries. Grayson says detectives also expect to identify additional victims in the case.

Rochester Police Expect to Identify Additional Victims

The man arrested in connection with the investigation was identified as 43-year-old John Timmerman of Rochester. The news release indicates that he faces multiple felony charges, including soliciting a child through electronic communication, using a minor in sexual performance/pornographic work, and sexual extortion. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges in Olmsted County Court tomorrow.

Grayson says the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal apprehension, and the FBI are assisting in the investigation, which is ongoing.
