
Indictment: Minnesota Felon Busted With Drugs & Gun
Duluth, MN (KROC-AM News)- A northern Minnesota felon is facing federal charges after being busted with drugs and a firearm.

That’s according to an indictment unsealed on Friday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota. Local and federal law enforcement conducted the investigation that preceded the indictment.
A news release says the defendant made her first court appearance on Friday in Duluth.

Duluth, MN Woman Indicted for Federal Weapon and Drug Crimes
Federal court documents say 30-year-old Khadijah Denise Preston of Duluth was busted with a Smith & Wesson model M&P Shield M2.0 handgun in December of 2023.
Less than a year later, she was found in possession of fentanyl, the indictment alleges. The news release does not say how much fentanyl Preston was allegedly caught with, however it was enough to indicate an intent to distribute.
Preston is charged with one count of illegal possession of a firearm and two counts of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to the indictment.

Court records indicate Preston was previously convicted of felony second-degree assault in Hennepin County, a crime that prevents her from lawfully possessing a firearm.
The indictment is the result of an investigation involving Duluth Police Department, the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, the news release says.
