Fast moving cold front creates rough roads

Snow, strong winds and falling temperatures combined today to create hazardous driving conditions across southern Minnesota.

There were numerous traffic wrecks but so far no fatalities have been reported. The State Patrol says it handled three dozen wrecks in its Rochester district and 18 were rollovers. Four injuries were reported. There were also numerous vehicles that slid off the road and some semi-trucks that jackknifed.
