
At Least Three Lives Were Lost on Minnesota’s Roads on Monday
Undated (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol says at least three lives were lost on Minnesota’s roads Monday.

One of the victims was a pedestrian and one of the fatal crashes involved a semi. The fatalities happened over a span of more than 14 hours.
In addition to the traffic deaths, there were also three injuries combined in the fatal crashes.

Monday’s first fatality happened on Hwy. 55 in Plymouth where a pedestrian was fatally struck by a Mustang traveling west on four-lane highway.
The pedestrian has been described as a 83-year-old Minatare, NE man. His name has not yet been released.
48-year-old Kenneth Dawayne Ward of Elk River was identified as the driver. He was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

About 12 hours later, a three-vehicle crash near New Prague claimed the life of 70-year-old Cedar Lake Township man. He was traveling east on 247th St. when he entered the road’s intersection with Hwy. 13.
His vehicle was struck by a southbound SUV. The fatal crash victim's name has not been released.
The State Patrol indicates he was not wearing his seatbelt. The SUV driver has been identified as 48-year-old Darren Wendell Iverson of Cedar Lake Township.
A third vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Jordin Isabelle Gummert of Cedar Lake Township, was also hit during the crash. Both of the drivers who survived the fatal collision suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Monday’s final reported fatality happened shortly before 8 p.m. on Interstate 94 near Fergus Falls. The state crash report says a westbound SUV made contact with a semi truck.
Authorities say the 32-year-old St. Francis man driving the SUV lost his life in the crash. The truck driver was not hurt.
