
Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office Identifies 90-Year-Old Man Killed in LeRoy House Fire
First responders were dispatched to the blaz shortly before 4:00 Saturday morning at a rural property about six miles northeast of LeRoy.
LeRoy, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who lost his life in a house fire over the weekend.

First responders were dispatched to the blaze shortly before 4:00 Saturday morning at a rural property about six miles northeast of LeRoy.
A woman was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of injuries she suffered in the fire.

90-Year-Old Man Killed in LeRoy House Fire Identified, Fire Investigation Remains Ongoing
On Monday the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office identified the man who perished in the fire as Donald Norval Anderson. He was 90 years old.
The injured woman, described as Anderson’s Wife, is 46-years-old. Her name has not been released.
Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge said the woman became injured after jumping from the window to escape the burning home 13000 block 111th Ave.
The woman told arriving deputies that Anderson and two dogs were still inside of the house. One of the dogs and Anderson were found inside of the home and pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, DeGeorge said.
A damage estimate is not available. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the cause of the deadly fire.
