Man Found Shot to Death Near Downtown Rochester
Update: Rochester Police Announce Active Search for Murder Suspect(s)
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Thursday evening.

Limited information is available so far. Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers were dispatched to the report of a shooting near downtown Rochester around 6:50 p.m.
The reported shooting occurred in the area of 10th St. and 1st Ave. Southeast.
Man Found Dead Following Shooting Near Downtown Rochester
First responders found the shooting victim and administered life-saving aid but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Grayson said.
He’s being described as an adult male. The victim’s name has not been released.
Police have not said whether or not a suspect has been apprehended or identified. Grayson says the fatal shooting does not appear to be random.
Grayson says the scene remains active and that the investigation is ongoing. Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
