
Former Rochester Federal Prison Nurse Accused of Having Romantic Relationship with Inmate Sentenced
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A former nurse at the Rochester Federal Medical Center, who was accused of being in a romantic relationship with an inmate, has been sentenced.

A federal grand jury indicted 38-year-old Jessica Lynn Larson last March.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota says Larson received her sentence on Tuesday.

Ex Nurse at Federal Medical Center in Rochester Sentenced for Giving False Statements Regarding Romantic Relationship
Federal court documents say Larson exchanged sexually explicit letters with the inmate.
The Bureau of Prisons discovered letters from Larson during a search of the inmate's cell.
Court documents also say Bureau of Prisons officials also found letters from the inmate inside Larson's backpack.
US Attorney: Ex Nurse Falsely Claimed to be Victim of Sexual Assault
When first confronted about the relationship, Larson falsely claimed the inmate sexually assaulted her and threatened to hurt her children if she refused his sexual advances or reported his assault.

Federal prosecutors also said Larson drove more than 600 miles from her home in Iowa to Cincinnati Ohio to mail a love letter to the inmate, who had been transferred to another federal prison.
The charges state that incident occurred two months after she had been placed on administrative leave.
Larson was convicted of one count of false statements. She was sentenced to six months behind bars and one year of supervised release, the news release says.
