Olmsted County Commissioner Gregg Wright Recovering After Dog Bite & Subsequent Surgery

The injuries from the attack were severe enough to require surgery and an extended hospital stay, the Facebook post says.

The bites were to Wright’s lower body and that the elected leader is expected to be back out on the campaign trail soon barring an infection, Thein said.

Thein is using the incident to remind residents to control their pets and ensure they’re not put in a position to harm someone who is not a threat.

He also says the dog attack is a reminder that everyone running for public office is human and is sacrificing time spent with family and friends to earn votes.

Information regarding the location of the dog biting is not available. The Third District of the Olmsted County Board is comprised of most of northeast and southeast Rochester.
