It’s the third and final year of the $27.5 million project to transform the Interstate 90/Hwy. 52 interchange.
Year three of the project will see the completion of a flyover ramp, new westbound overpass and new on and off ramps at the busy interchange.

The westbound I-90 bridge and the ramps connecting Hwy. 52 with westbound I-90 have also shuttered.
Access to northbound Hwy. 52 from westbound I-90 will be maintained, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) indicates.
MnDOT also says I-90 traffic through the interchange is down to a single lane in each direction. I-90 motorists will use the recently-completed eastbound bridge to cross Hwy. 52.
The new westbound I-90 overpass is expected to be open by the Fall of this year.
Hwy. 52 Detour Ends for Now
Hwy. 52 has been reopened in both directions. It was closed last week to accommodate demolition of the westbound I-90 overpass.

MnDOT also says there will be additional, short term closures on Hwy. 52 as crews build the new I-90 westbound overpass.
Those closures will be announced in advance, MnDOT says.
