Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorist has been charged in connection to a Rochester crash that sent multiple people to the hospital last year.

The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Thursday, says the crash happened at a busy Rochester intersection on the evening of Nov. 7. 

Three vehicles were involved in the crash near the Crossroads Shopping Center.

Rochester, MN Woman Charged for South Broadway Crash That Injured 4

Rochester police responded to the crash at the intersection of South Broadway Ave. and 14th St. Officers determined the suspect vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic, the charges say.

Three adults and a juvenile were described as the occupants of the other vehicles. 60-year-old Sandra Kay Crowson was identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle, the complaint says. 

Crowson and the three adults in the other vehicles, were taken from the crash scene to St. Mary’s Hospital. 

The charges say one victim reported back pain, a cut on her foot, and a bruised knuckle, another victim said they were experiencing abdominal pain and neck pain. The third victim said they had a bruised knee.

Police suspected Crowson of being under the influence of alcohol while they were interviewing her at the hospital. A blood sample collected from Crowson measured her blood-alcohol-concentration at 0.088, the complaint says.

Crowson also admitted to drinking before driving. She is charged with three counts of gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation and one count of gross misdemeanor DWI. 

Crowson is due to make her first court appearance in May.
