That’s according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota on Tuesday. He was convicted by a jury following a federal trial this past May.
Federal Court documents say 58-year-old Raphael Raymond Nunn was masked when he forced a woman, who had just parked her vehicle in Arden Hills, at gunpoint to drive to an ATM and withdraw money.

The Minneapolis man then forced the woman to drive to a park, demanded her vehicle keys, and drove off in the victim’s vehicle, according to court documents.
Investigators connected Nunn to the September 13, 2022 crime through surveillance footage at a grocery store and was apprehended nine days after the armed kidnapping, the news release says.
A search of Nunn’s home led to the discovery of evidence that he had stolen from a second victim and robbed a third at gunpoint. He then used the victims credit cards to obtain money from their bank accounts, according to the federal charges.
Nunn was convicted of kidnapping, two counts of bank fraud, and two counts of aggravated identity theft.
He was sentenced last week to 24 years in prison, which will be followed by five years of supervised release. Nunn is also ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution, the news release says.
