Minnesota State Patrol Responds to At least 2 Fatal Crashes Saturday
Undated (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol responded to at least two fatal crashes in Minnesota on Saturday.
The first one occurred early Saturday morning in Central Minnesota’s Sherburne County. The state crash report indicates a westbound Infinity car, that was traveling at a high rate of speed, rear-ended a westbound Chevy car on Hwy. 10 around 1:10 a.m.
The collision caused the Chevy to enter the ditch and roll multiple times. The Infinity continued forward a short distance before leaving the four-lane highway then left the road and crashed into a tree line.
A passenger in the Chevy, identified as 34-year-old Jordan Dennis Kramer of Clarissa, MN, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second passenger in the Chevy, identified as 38-year-old Candice Carmen Pooler of Clarissa, MN, was brought to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Chevy driver, 34-year-old Lindsey Kay Soiseth of Lillian Lake, MN, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
The state crash report identifies the Infinity driver as 23-year-old Hunter Michael Buckentine of Clear Lake, MN. He and his passenger, 21-year-old Trenton Christopher Michaels of Becker were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The report indicates Kramer and Pooler were not buckled up. The deadly crash remains under investigation.
The second fatal crash also happened in central Minnesota in Kandiyohi County. The state crash report says a semi truck and an SUV collided at an intersection outside Willmar shortly before 6:15 p.m.
The names and conditions of individuals involved in that deadly crash have not yet been released, however the State Patrol says three people from Marshall, MN were in the SUV and the semi was driven by a 33-year-old man from Davie, FL. Officials plan to release more information regarding Saturday evening’s deadly crash at a later time.
