(UPDATED) – Missing Person Alert For 3 Year Old Minnesota Girl
(UPDATE) - Minneapolis police issued a statement this morning indicating the child has been found and is safe.
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a statewide missing person alert while the search continues for a missing three-year-old child.
The BCA says the Minneapolis Police Department has asked for the public's help in locating little Alliyah Evans. According to the alert, the toddler was left by her mother outside the Target Store on Lake Street in Minneapolis with a homeless female acquaintance while the mother went inside the store.
Minneapolis police say the acquaintance left with the child, without the mother's permission. The woman's name is not known, and neither is the location of where she normally stays.
The alert says the female acquaintance is described as a 32-year-old bi-racial woman, who was last seen wearing a tie-dye shirt and light gray leggings.
The missing girl is described as black, 3'-5," 35 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans when the incident occurred around noon on Sunday.
Anyone with information about the location of the child and/or the woman who left the store with her, is asked to contact the Minneapolis Police Department at 612-348-2345.
