Mississippi Drops Below Flood Stage in Red Wing, Lake City
The level of the Mississippi River continues to slowly fall between the Twin Cities and La Crosse
after rising above flood stage due to the recent heavy rain in southern Minnesota. But it is still affecting some river towns. The river has already slipped below flood stage in Red Wing and Lake City. But as of noon today, it was about a foot and a half above flood stage in the Wabasha area and two feet above flood stage in Winona. It’s projected to drop below flood stage in those two areas next Tuesday.
