Motorcyclist Killed Speeding Away From Minnesota State Trooper

Frazee, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in northwestern Minnesota are reporting the death of a motorcyclist who was apparently killed while fleeing from a State Trooper.
The Becker County Sheriff's Office says the deadly incident occurred around 6:15 Friday evening on a two-lane highway several miles north of Frazee and about 6 miles southeast of Detroit Lakes. A preliminary report indicates the crash occurred shortly after a State Trooper attempted to pull over the motorcyclist for a traffic violation.
The trooper indicated that after the emergency lights on his squad car were activated, the motorcyclist responded by accelerating at a very high rate of speed. The trooper stated he lost sight of the motorcycle as it sped south toward Frazee.
The trooper then conducted a search and located the motorcycle off the highway. The driver was also found near the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
