New Judge Appointed For Olmsted County
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Governor Mark Dayton today announced the appointment of a new judge for Olmsted County.
Jacob Allen was chosen to succeed recently retired Winona County Judge Jeffrey Thompson. It was earlier decided that his successor would be chambered in Rochester because of Olmsted County’s ever-growing caseload. Allen, who was one of 3 finalists for the position, is currently the Managing Attorney of the 3rd Judicial District Public Defenders Office.
The graduate of the University of Minnesota law school also volunteers with the Schaeffer Academy, Autumn Ridge Church, and Rochester youth sports.
