The cascading plethora of news events is a challenge to absorb and analyze. Among the best ways to accomplish it is to review the statements of the media and political leaders.

In the Middle East wars, according to Newsmax in September, White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby advised, military escalation is not in Israel’s “best interest.” Prime Minister Netanyahu thinks it is and is seeking the destruction of Hamas.

Why doesn’t the White House give the same advice in the Ukraine-Russia war? There, with U.S. aid, America wants total victory for Ukraine President Zelensky. Ronny Reyes (New York Post, 25 September) quotes Zelensky warning the UN of a “nuclear disaster” if Russia uses nuclear weapons, as it has threatened to do. But Zelensky asks the U.S. for more weapons to strike within Russia, to what end? Prevent that from happening? Zelensky wants the total victory that Netanyahu desires, as the Ukraine president journeys to America in a USAF warplane, commenting on the coming U.S. elections and who he favors.

Zelensky called Republican vice-presidential candidate Vance “radical,” and denounced Donald Trump’s intention to end that war by negotiating with Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

With two assassination attempts on Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump, and alleged other actors planning it, Democrats keep up their hostile comments on what a threat to democracy Trump is. In Trump’s presidency, there was peace, economic prosperity, and stability. Nothing in his administration indicated totalitarianism. But some Democrats and media, according to Michael Goodwin in his September column, “blame the victim (Trump)” for the threats directed at him.

Gateway Pundit writer Jim Hoft revealed transcripts that President Trump ordered the National Guard to provide backup for the January 6, 2021 ‘peaceful protests.” Trump urged Pentagon officials to deploy soldiers to the event, but his order was blocked by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and military officials, despite a similar request by the DC police. Trump adversary, former Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley, also blocked the request.

Colonel Earl Matthews, of the D.C. National Guard, said, “The D.C. Guard could have gone in right away, but the Secretary of the Army did not give us the approval.” The FBI and D.C. Mayor also refused to cooperate, and Speaker Pelosi is alleged to have “refused to turn over her communications surrounding January 6, and Democrats later destroyed evidence from their interviews with officials involving the January 6 riots.” Why haven’t these officials, in political parlance, “being held accountable?”

Senator Bernie Sanders was honest about Democrat presidential candidate, now vice president Kamala Harris’s non-answers to reporters and policy changes, according to reporter Jim Hoff: Kamala is not abandoning her Socialist ideals, but she is just “trying to be pragmatic” in order to “win the election.”
