The complex, rapidly changing events of the day can often be best understood by studying the comments of the politicians, pundits, and participants directly involved in them.
Tulsi Gabbard is one such illuminating figure. A regular Fox News commentator, the former Hawaiian member of Congress served as a commissioned National Guard army officer in Middle East combat zones.
The former Democrat left that political party when its leaders facilitated, in Gabbard’s words, Leftist “wokeness, racism, intolerance,” and began tolerating domestic violence, anti-Semitism, and “undermining free speech, antagonism to people of faith, hostility to free speech, open borders,” and targeting and prosecuting political opponents.
Now a political Independent, Gabbard herself became targeted by the Transportation Security Administration, after she criticized Biden Administration policies and Deep State tactics. Gabbard has been tracked by federal law enforcement officers, and TSA personnel.
Former President Trump recently hired her to advise him about responding to Biden’s Vice President Kamala Harris, a presidential candidate, in planned 2024 debates.
The photogenic and articulate Gabbard laid out these issues in her recent book, For Love of Country: Leaving the Democrat Party Behind (Regnery, 2024), Among the analyses, is Tulsi Gabbard’s tracking of the prosecution of former President Donald Trump, and the two-tiered system of justice that has allowed leading Democrats to escape prosecution (Hillary Clinton, national intelligence chiefs, the Biden family), while Republicans and citizens protesting the policies of local officials, have been banned, threatened, and prosecuted.
Pete Hegseth, U.S. Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient, said Gabbard “has courage, speaks the truth, and loves America.” Popular podcast pundit Joe Rogan says Tulsi Gabbard would be an exemplary U.S. president.
Another issue on the domestic scene, the Biden Administration has threatened to initiate a constitutional amendment, and other legislation to reign in the justices. That agenda includes term limits and packing the court. Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump appointee, warned the Biden Administration to “Be Careful” about its mission and methods.
In a New York Post article, journalist Ryan King cited a Fox News source that outlined Democrat plans for a judicial ethics code, and reversal of a recent judicial ruling that stated a president has “absolute immunity for official acts.”
Justice Gorsuch mentioned the reasons for “the importance of an independent judiciary” that compels “a fair hearing.” Gorsuch warned that freedom and objective decisions are threatened by having ‘too much law.”
In foreign affairs, an early August Newsmax article made the case for a U.S. policy designed for “asset moves that are defensive, the objective being deterrence” in deploying weaponry and support to deescalate regional tensions, according to a White House official.
That Pentagon objective is criticized by observers who say methods that lead to the killing of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Palestinian leaders, could invite retaliation that could widen the war, given Iranian threats to Israel.
Given the intrigues in the Middle East, Newsmax writer James Morley III, wrote in late July, that the Israeli government, American Jews, and the people of Israel, according to former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, “are desperate to have Donald Trump back in the White House.”
