Rochester Drug Dealer Sentenced to 8 Years
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is being sent to prison for a drug bust that occurred in the city nearly a year ago.
Charges were filed against 54-year-old Bo Thomas Williams last October in connection with a narcotics investigation conducted by the Rochester Police Department Crime Interdiction Unit. The criminal complaint says Williams sold a significant amount of methamphetamine to a police informant.
Half Pound of Meth
The court document says the informant and Williams met at a local hotel to conduct the transaction. The informant, who was wearing a covert recording device and under surveillance, left the meeting and delivered a package of methamphetamine to a police investigator. The criminal complaint says the package weighed more than 227 grams.

Plea Agreement and Sentence
Olmsted County Court records indicate Williams entered into a plea agreement in February and admitted to a first-degree drug sales charge. He was sentenced today to just over eight years in prison for the conviction. Williams was given credit for 44 days already served in jail.

Previous Convictions
His criminal history includes previous felony convictions for burglary and drug possession. He was given a 39-month prison sentence in 2013 for the burglary conviction and was initially sentenced to probation in the 2022 drug case but was later ordered to serve a 17-month prison sentence.
