Stolen Gun Among Three Firearms Seized During Police Raid of Rochester, MN Home, Violent Felon in Custody

Rochester police executed the warrant at a home in the 300 block of 5th St. Southeast on Wednesday.

Investigators obtained the warrant after receiving a report that 30-year-old Howard Lee Wilson was posting sexually explicit photos and videos of others, making threats and posting videos of himself with two handguns, the complaint says.

Wilson answered the door when police arrived and was taken into custody after attempting to retreat into the home, the court filing says.

A search of the home led to the discovery of a semi automatic pistol, two handguns and loose ammunition, the charges say.

The semi automatic pistol was identified as a stolen firearm after it was cross checked through a law enforcement database, according to the complaint.

During an interview with investigators, Wilson said the guns were left to him and that two of the firearms were broken, the complaint says.
