Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Bail was set at $1 million today for the man accused of being involved in the murder of Rochester man in early March.

23-year-old Ayub Iman was formally arraigned in Olmsted County court this morning on one count of aiding and abetting 2nd-degree murder and was ordered to return for another court hearing on the morning of June 26th. He is charged with either being the person responsible or being involved in the shooting death of 28-year-old Garad Roble on the southeast edge of Rochester near the Shoppes on Maine complex in the early hours of March 5th.

The criminal complaint against Iman details how investigators tracked his movements and the movements of Roble during the several hours that preceded the murder. Using witnesses, cell phone tracking data, and DNA testing, investigators allege they can show Ayub was present when Roble was shot to death and when the murder weapon was dumped into the Zumbro River in northwest Rochester later the same day.

The charges also state that another person was with Iman and the victim at the site of the murder and the site where a handgun was later found on an ice-covered stretch of the river in the Elton Hills area. That person is not identified in the criminal complaint, and at last report, was not in custody. The court documents also indicate Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department investigators recovered 14 spent shell casings at the scene of the murder and that an autopsy determined Roble suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including fatal wounds to his head and abdomen.

Sheriff’s Captain Scott Behrns, speaking at a press briefing where Iman’s arrest was announced this morning, said investigators believe there are people with information about the crime and they are urging them to do “the right thing” and come forward with that information.
