
Minnesota Snowmobiler Airlifted to Hospital After Smashing into a Tree
Orr, MN (KROC-AM News)- A snowmobile operator had to be airlifted to a hospital after a snowmobile crash in northern Minnesota on Tuesday.

A news release issued by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says emergency responders were dispatched to the crash shortly before 3:30 p.m.
First responders provided the snowmobile operator with medical treatment at the scene and requested a medical helicopter.

Melrose, MN Snowmobile Driver Airlifted to Hospital After Crashing into a Tree in Northeastern Minnesota
The snowmobile crash occurred in a rural area near Orr in northeastern Minnesota. The preliminary crash investigation indicates the snowmobile operator veered off the trail and collided with a tree, the news release says.
Authorities are describing the operator as a 48-year-old man from Melrose, MN. His name has not been released.
The snowmobile crash victim was flown to a hospital for treatment of a head injury. An update on his condition is not available.
Investigators do not suspect him of being impaired, according to the news release. The cause of the snowmobile crash is under investigation.
