
Southeast MN Man Injured After Hitting Deer on Hwy. 218
Blooming Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota man was taken to a hospital after hitting a deer Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. in Steele County. He was the only person driving the only vehicle involved, the State Patrol says.

Austin Man Injured After Hitting Deer on Hwy. 218 in Steele County
The vehicle-deer collision occurred on Hwy. 218 at the intersection of 73rd St., which is about eight miles south of Owatonna.
The injured motorist was driving an SUV north on the two-lane highway, the state crash report indicates.
48-year-old Kirk Alan Kuchera of Austin was driving the SUV. He was brought to a hospital in Austin with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.

Kuchera was buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the state crash report.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Blooming Prairie Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the collision.
