Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A few weeks ago she was up for three Grammy awards and Saturday she will perform in Rochester.

Organist Jan Kraybill returns to the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist to offer an exclusive organ recital Saturday at 7:30 pm.

Kraybill was nominated for the 2020 GRAMMY® Awards for Best Immersive Audio Album, Best Classical Instrumental Solo, and Producer of the Year.

Kraybill is known as a musical leader and dynamic speaker; a concert organist, pianist, and harpsichordist; an educator, church musician, and consultant; and an enthusiastic cheerleader for the power of music to change lives for the better.

Kraybill is Organ Conservator at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri,Organist-in-Residence at the international headquarters of Community of Christ in Independence, Missouri, and Organist at Village on Antioch Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Overland Park, Kansas.She plays and oversees the care of the Kansas City metro area’s three largest pipe organs.

Kraybill’s program in Rochester will include works by Tchaikovsky, J.S. Bach, R. Schumann, Duruflé and others. Her performance is open to the public – free will offering.
