Hwy. 16 to be Reduced to One Lane Near Grand Meadow Starting Monday
A MnDOT news release says the closure is happening on Hwy. 16 on the eastern edge of Grand Meadow. Crews will be repairing the bridge that crosses Bear Creek.
MnDOT says a traffic light will direct drivers through the single-lane stretch of the highway.
Crews will begin making repairs on the east half of the bridge then shift the repair work to the westbound lanes, the news release says.
MnDOT says crews will replace expansion joints at each end of the bridge, complete painting and review the bridge for any other needed repairs.
The work and lane closure is anticipated to be completed by the end of September, weather permitting.
