
Rochester Street Closures Planned for Large Equipment Delivery to Mayo Clinic Utility Plant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The City of Rochester has announced “rolling road closures” to accommodate the transportation of large equipment to Mayo Clinic’s campus in downtown Rochester.

Two pieces of equipment are scheduled for delivery. Along with the rolling closures, full road closures are also planned.
The equipment will be transported from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. both Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21.

Rolling Closures Planned Between Heintz Center & Mayo Utility Plant for Equipment Delivery
Crews will be moving the pieces of equipment from the Heintz Center on the Rochester Community and Technical College campus to Mayo Clinic’s Prospect Utility Plant, located at 233 3rd St. NW, in downtown Rochester.
City officials says the following streets will experience the rolling closures during the deliveries:
College View Road E from East Circle Drive NE to 19 Avenue SE
19 Avenue SE from Collegeview Road E to East Center Street
East Center Street from 19 Avenue SE to Civic Center Drive NE
Civic Center Drive NE from East Center Street to North Broadway Avenue
North Broadway Avenue from Civic Center Drive to 3 Street NW
3 Street NW from North Broadway to 3 Avenue NW
City officials say the rolling closures will last between 30 and 60 minutes and that law enforcement will conduct traffic control. There will also be no parking signs in the area of the Prospect Utility Plant.
In addition to the rolling road closures, officials will close 3rd St. NW from 3rd Ave. SW to 1st Ave. NW and 2nd Ave. NW from 3rd St. NW to 2nd St. NW. Those closures start at 10:30 p.m. Friday and are scheduled to end by 5 a.m. Sunday.
City officials did not say what equipment is being delivered.
