Rochester Police: Man’s Crime Spree Ends on Roof of Abandoned Rochester Restaurant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A homeless Rochester man is in custody after an alleged crime spree that ended at an abandoned building in southeast Rochester.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
The ordeal, which drew a large law enforcement presence at its conclusion, occurred around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Burglary Suspect Captured After Fleeing to Roof of Abandoned Denny's Restaurant in Rochester, MN, Police say
Grayson said the man was suspected of committing multiple burglaries and property damage crimes throughout the day Wednesday.
Officers found him at the former Denny’s Restaurant in the 1200 block of Broadway Ave. South.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Andrew Jones, ran inside of the vacant building when officers approached him, the police report says.
Officer set up a perimeter around the building and deployed a drone, which located Jones on the roof. Grayson says Jones came down and peacefully exited the former restaurant.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Jones was booked into the jail shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. He’s expected to face multiple burglary charges, Grayson said.
The police report does detail the prior alleged crimes Jones is suspected of committing.
