Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage boy was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Winona on Tuesday.

The State Patrol says four people riding in three vehicles were involved in the collision. It happened at a busy intersection in Winona shortly before 4:15 p.m.

A Chevy car, Ford car and a small pick-up collided at the intersection of Hwy. 14, Hwy. 61 and Pelzer St.

17-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Crash at Intersection of Highways 61, 14 & Pelzer St. in Winona

The State Patrol says the Chevy car was attempting a left turn from Pelzer St. to southbound Hwy. 61/eastbound Hwy. 14, the Ford car was crossing the intersection from Hwy. 14 and the pickup was making a right turn from Hwy. 61/Hwy. 14 onto Pelzer St. when the collision occurred. 

17-year-old Devyn Thomas Turkowski was driving the Ford car. He was taken to a hospital in Winona with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.

17-year-old Mary Komperud of Minnesota City was riding with Turkowski. She and the two other drivers, identified as 26-year-old Jennifer Lynn Lehnertz of Rollingston and 37-year-old Cody Joseph Piel of Fountain City, WI were not hurt.

The state crash report does describe the status of the traffic light at the time of the crash. Everyone was buckled up and alcohol was not involved, the State Patrol says. 

The Winona Police Department and Winona Fire Department also responded to the three-vehicle collision.
