A traffic crash in western Minnesota last night took the life of a teenage motorist.

The preliminary report by the State Patrol says 19-year-old Kayla Wrobleski of Degraff was attempting to make a left turn off a highway near Benson when her car was rear-ended by another vehicle. That collision caused the victim’s car to spin around and it was broadsided by a semi-truck headed in the other direction.  The crash was reported just after 8pm.

Another crash Tuesday afternoon in western Wisconsin claimed the lives of two people, including a woman from the Twin Cities. Wisconsin authorities say the deadly wreck occurred near Somerset when 34-year-old Amanda Day of Osceola, Wisconsin attempted to pass another vehicle and the two cars collided. That caused Day’s car to collided with a car headed in the opposite direction and both drivers suffered fatal injuries.

The second driver was identified as 83-year-old Goldie Culver of Apple Valley.
