27-year-old Andrianna Newburn was facing felony charges of first-degree assault, child torture, second-degree assault, third-degree assault and terroristic threats. She was also charged with two misdemeanor assault counts.
Rochester police responded to the assault call on the afternoon of June 13, 2024 at the KinderCare Learning Center, located at 1815 Greenview Pl. Southwest in Rochester.
Newburn had gotten into a work-related argument with the victim’s mother, grabbed a pizza cutter and threatened to cut her co-worker, the complaint says.
She was accused of telling the victim’s mother, “if I can’t cut you, I’ll cut your kids.”
Newburn then went into the infant room at the daycare center and swung the pizza cutter at her co-worker’s two-year-old daughter, who was sitting on the floor, the charges say.
